Back to the Future Part II is a 1989 comedic action-adventure film and second of the Back to the Future trilogy directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and Thomas F. Wilson. Crispin Glover (who played Marty's father) and Claudia Wells (who played Marty's girlfriend) did not return after the first film. Part II and Part III were originally one long film, but were broken into parts. Although not as strong as the first film, Part II grossed over $331 million worldwide, making it the third-highest grossing film of the year.
The next film, Back to the Future Part III, was released the following year.
Plot[]
In this movie, Doc takes Marty and his girlfriend, Jennifer Parker (now played by Elizabeth Shue), to the future to help save their son. The future Biff Tannen (played by Thomas F. Wilson) travels back in time to make himself rich.
